“Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together...encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25, ESV
Chelten offers two kinds of small groups: Community Groups and Care Groups . The purpose of small groups is to provide a loving place where we can build meaningful relationships that transform us through the work of the Holy Spirit into fully developing followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Community Groups are designed to create an atmosphere of real relationship and fellowship with other believers. These groups are places for growing spiritually and worshiping our Lord, reaching out to new people, and sharing, caring, and serving others in a small group. They meet in homes, at restaurants, or at the church, either in the morning or at night, during the week or on the weekend. Community Groups are made up of folks who desire to love each other, grow through accountability, reach out to others and apply God's Word.
Chelten offers several kinds of Care Groups that meet at the church. Divorce Care is aimed at those who are looking to join a community that understands the pain of separation and divorce. The group will journey together in dealing with the hurt of the past and the hope they share in building their future. Grief Share helps those dealing with grief that comes through the loss of a loved one. The group will connect individuals facing similar loss by bringing encouragement and understanding in dealing with shared hurt. These groups will find renewed hope for the future in Christ.
